Heejae Choi

Heejae Choi
was born in Seul, South Korea,
where he began his ballet traing
at the Sunwha Arts School, studying
under teachers such as Brian
Yoo, Elena Selivanova, Zinaida
Omelchenko and Nicolai Levitsky,
later moving to the Universal
Ballet Academy, where he
as taught by Julia Moon, Evegeny
Neff and Albert Mirzoyan.
In
2003 he was awarded the First
Prize in the Korea Ballet
Association Competition.
The
following year he moved to
Europe and joined the Ecole
Superieure de Dance Cannes
Rosella Hightower, directed
by Monique Loudieres, where
his teachers were James Urban,
Hervè Dirmann, Hacène
Bahiri, Claudie Winzer, Monet
Robier and Stephnie White,
among others.
In September
2007 he joined the Compañía
Nacional de Danza 2.
