Aleix Mañé

Alex Mañé was
born in Tarragona, where he began
his ballet studies at Artemis,
the city’s official dance
centre. In 2001 he joined
the Institut
del Teatre in Barcelona
before moving to the Real
Conservatorio Profesional de
Danza de Madrid in 2003.
He
was awarded the silver medal
at the Les Espoirs de la
Danse festival in the
French city of Montpellier
(2001 and 2002), the Best performance
Award at the 10th Annual
City of Ribarroja del Turia
National Dance Awards in
the field of contemporary dance
(2005), and the prize for Best
Dancer at the 3rd Annual
International Dance Awards in Madrid.
En
2005 he was awarded a scholarship
allowing him to join up with
the Ballet Carmen Roche,
performing as a soloist in
November of the same year
in Snow White, a
Ricardo Cue production, featuring
Tamara Rojo as the guest ballerina.
In
2006 Alex Mañé joined
the Nafas Dance Company under
the direction of Patrick
de Bana before joining the Compañía
Nacional de Danza 2 in
September of the same year.
